On August 5, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium on the handling of key suggestions and proposals in the field of new chemical materials in Beijing, and listened to the opinions of deputies to the National People's Congress and members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on the handling of suggestions and proposals related to key materials for high-voltage cables, high-performance fiber materials, and new chemical materials. Wang Jiangping, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Relevant leaders of the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China, the Bureau of Statistics, the Energy Bureau, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and other relevant co-organizing departments and leaders of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during this year's two sessions, improve political standing, deeply understand the importance of handling suggestions and proposals, humbly listen to the opinions and suggestions of deputies to the National People's Congress, members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the people, actively respond to social concerns, and insist on handling suggestions as an important mission of fulfilling duties and consciously accepting people's supervision and an important means to promote high-quality development of the industry. We should strengthen exchanges and consultations, strengthen work style construction, adhere to problem orientation, conduct in-depth investigations and research, and transform the good ideas in the suggestions and proposals into practical and effective measures to solve problems, improve work, and promote development, and strive to "handle a suggestion and proposal well, solve the problems of an industry", and effectively enhance the sense of gain of the industry and enterprises.
The meeting emphasized that we should focus on core responsibilities and take the handling of suggestions and proposals as an opportunity to promote new breakthroughs in the development of the industry.
First, we should have a deeper understanding of the importance of new chemical materials. New chemical materials are the foundation of the foundation and a new growth point for the petrochemical industry. We should prevent "talking about chemicals" and "NIMBY effect".
Second, we should focus more on major issues in the materials industry, promote the integration of science and technology and industry, and systematically improve the innovation ability and product supply ability of new materials in view of the shortcomings such as insufficient integration and coordination of "science, technology, and engineering" and insufficient attention to the innovation of new materials and new technologies.
Third, we should further stimulate the vitality of market innovation, give play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation, better play the role of the government, create an integrated innovation ecology and policy system of industry, academia, research and application, and strive to give play to the subjective initiative of innovation subjects.
Before the meeting, Wang Jiangping and his party visited the high-throughput laboratory, plastic technology center laboratory, high-fat molecular chemistry and physics laboratory of Sinopec Beijing Chemical Research Institute, and held discussions with relevant personnel of the institute to understand the development of the chemical new materials industry.
